Imagine spending years on a sculpture that few will ever see. Bay Area artist Steve Wolfe did just that. Hidden inside one of his works are tiny, hand-made books revealed only through cutouts in cardboard boxes. 📦🎨
Stacia Greer, Artist Materials Collection Intern, shows us examples of how every detail mattered to Wolfe, even the ones you’d have to peek to find. SFMOMA Conservators discovered the hidden sculptures after a donation of artist materials from luhringaugustine.
