“It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,” -Isaiah 2:2 Even the strongest mountains are only a glimpse of the glory and greatness of God. Even so, the presence of God does not depend on size or grandeur, nor is it dependent upon how we show up. What matters is the One who meets us there. Jesus has done the work, and we don’t need to be arrayed with jewels, righteousness, sinlessness, or anything of our own making to stand before the Father. We draw near not because we are worthy, but because He welcomes us. His grace is the foundation of our confidence, and His presence is the hope that sustains us. The same God that meets us now in grace will one day be exalted above all things. His kingdom will stand unshakeable, His dwelling lifted high, and His reign revealed in fullness.
