Even the strongest mountains are only a glimpse of the glory and greatness of God. Even so, the presence of God does not depend on size or grandeur, nor is it dependent upon how we show up. What matters is the One who meets us there. Jesus has done the work, and we don’t need to be arrayed with jewels, righteousness, sinlessness, or anything of our own making to stand before the Father. We draw near not because we are worthy, but because He welcomes us. His grace is the foundation of our confidence, and His presence is the hope that sustains us.
