Beauty does in fact matter, and it’s beauty professionals that can make that happen. Statistics show that people go see their beauty professionals more than they see their doctors, and it is true for me as well. As someone who struggled with acne in their teens, it’s very important that I maintain my skin in my 20s. To help with that, I get facials regularly, and to me, that makes me feel beautiful. In the LEAD documentary, they talked more about people getting their cosmetology license, that it is seen more as a hobby than it is a job.
