LIONS DUO FALLS IN ROUND OF 16: Sophomores Ava Levitanus and Julianna Johnson of the jserra.girlstennis team closed out a stellar campaign on the courts on Wednesday, as the pair were defeated in the Round of 16 at the CIF-SS Individuals Championships at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont. Levitanus and Johnson opened action with a battle against Ava Brara and Mila Humby of Santa Monica High School. The Lions’ pair claimed victory in straight sets over the Ocean League champions by scores of 7-5 and 6-2. Levitanus and Johnson then squared off with Alena Koltsova and Gianna Mucci of Calabasas High School (the No. 2 overall seed in the tournament), where they were defeated 1-6, 1-6. #lionnation #jserragirlstennis #jserraathletics
