We’re heading to the University Auditorium for this Feature Friday🎼 Right next to Century Tower, the historic University Auditorium was built in the early 1920s and is a campus gem! The stunning Anderson Memorial Organ was donated in 1925 and expanded on to include more pipes and a five manual console. Today, it is one of the largest organs in the United States. The auditorium space seats 840 people and has a decorated vaulted ceiling, arched windows, spires, and gargoyles. The space is used for several events throughout the school year, including UF School of Music recitals, world music acts, chamber ensembles, and even small commencement ceremonies for schools. Student Gov also hosts ACCENT Speakers in the autiroium, one of the largest student-run speakers bureau in the nation. Previous speakers include A’ja Wilson, Ke Huy Quan, Bill Nye, and Aly Raisman. Stop by to see this beautiful campus building yourself!
