The Trump administration warned Tuesday that it will withhold funds for administering SNAP food aid in most Democratic-led states starting next week unless those states provide data on people receiving benefits.

#BrookeRollins said states are refusing to share information, including names and immigration status, which she claims is needed “to root out fraud.” The requested records would include personally identifiable information (names, dates of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers) and data showing the total dollar value of SNAP benefits received since January 1, 2020.
