With a stench described as "rotting flesh" and "trash left out in the rain," the corpse flower is a plant unlike any you've encountered before. Corpse flowers have one of the largest flowering structures in the plant kingdom, and they heat up to human body temperature as they bloom. • Horticultural grad student Brandon Huber owns Lupin, the corpse flower living in an @ncstatecals greenhouse. It took 13 years for Lupin — named after a Harry Potter character — to bloom the first time.
