Did you know that @NCStateDesign alumnus Phil Freelon was the lead architect for the @Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (@NMAAHC)? Standing next to the Washington Monument, the #NMAAHC showcases the history, heritage and enduring cultural impact of African Americans — telling the story of America as they have known and lived it. Other major projects Freelon has designed include the renovation of the @ncstategreggmuseum and the upcoming expansion of the #Motown Museum in Detroit.
