In their Collegiate Conference Athletic Association home opener, the Gators were physically outmatched by the now 6-0 California State University, East Bay Pioneers, losing 60-46. “I got a very young team; this is the first conference game for basically everyone on my roster,” said head coach Vince Inglima. “Their team is a bunch of seniors, and they’re athletic, physical and tough. We got a taste of it, and now the question is, ‘Can we come back and make some adjustments?’” The Pioneers pushed the pace early and got off to a blazing 8-0 run.
