Hundreds of 911 calls from the deadly Texas floods in July have been released by authorities. Some of the recordings, which police warned could be distressing to hear, indicate overwhelmed emergency response teams, as people desperately called in for help. The Kerrville Police Department said the calls were being released in compliance with Freedom of Information Act requests from eight media outlets.
