As part of our commitment to AZA SAFE Cheetah, the Zoo financially supports CCF’s long-running Livestock Guarding Dog (LGD) program. For nearly 30 years, this flagship program has placed more than 800 guarding dogs, traditionally Anatolian shepherds, on farms across Namibia and beyond, helping reduce conflict between humans and cheetahs in shared landscapes. Earlier this year, CCF celebrated an exciting milestone: Ana, one of the program’s first mixed-breed guarding dogs, gave birth to a healthy litter of five pups: four males and one female.
