The term doesn’t have a clear definition due a lack of regulations. Any confusion is exacerbated by greenwashing from major fast fashion conglomerates who have promoted unsustainable consumption for years, contributing to global climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. The UN has also warned that fashion isn’t currently on track to meet its 2030 sustainability goals.
But there’s still time to make a difference.
