Founder Rakhee Shah left the corporate world of finance in 2015 to launch Maisha Concept, first in the concrete jungle of Hong Kong, and moved the brand to Singapore in 2019. To create their textiles, Rakhee forged personal relationships with local artisans, travelling extensively to where they live, learning their ways and traditions.
