This is because every step is done by hand — from designing to carving the wooden blocks, to preparing and dyeing the fabric, to carefully stamping each motif layer by layer. Each color requires its own block, which must be aligned with precision, and the fabric needs time to dry between stages. Natural dyes add another layer of time, as they often need multiple washes and sun-drying to set. What looks like a simple pattern is actually the result of months — of skilled, patient work by our artisans.
