11 March 2025 Sat down with a cup of kopi, staring at this artwork that’s soon to appear on our new plate collection, and thinking—Singapore is turning 60. How far we’ve come. How much we’ve built. How we’ve made this little island our home and how lucky I am to be in this creative field. 🎂 When I was designing this, I kept coming back to one thing: balance. The way the city moves forward but still holds space for nature. The way heritage and modernity sit side by side, like the bumboat on the river and the Supertrees in the skyline. The way creativity, economy, and art all weave into our daily lives without us even noticing. 🖼️ ⛅️ It’s easy to take these things for granted. But today, I just want to sit with it, appreciate it. This plate is a little snapshot of that feeling—a reminder of how we’ve grown, and a quiet hope for what’s ahead. 🙏 Happy 60th soon, Singapore.
