Today, we remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who faced unimaginable odds on December 7th, 1941. Early that morning, 353 aircraft from six Imperial Japanese carriers struck the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor in a devastating surprise attack, sinking or damaging numerous ships, destroying 188 aircraft, and taking the lives of more than 2,400 service members and civilians.
