Sunrises and sunsets in the Mara. This beautiful place has been in the news recently because of a lawsuit involving the Ritz-Carlton. They constructed a luxury hotel that blocks a key animal migration corridor. What’s worse, they apparently forged signatures, and disregarded the unequivocal scientific findings and disapproval from the Maasai community. The irony is that the Maasai already inhabited this “untamed wilderness” before being displaced to create the park. This hotel is an affront not only to nature but to the inhabitants of this incredible place. We owe it to ourselves and to our planet to make sure that this case is won and we stop corporations from destroying the very environments they profit from. #maasaimara #ritzcarltonscandal #protectourplanet
