I didn’t even realize there was a super moon until I turned a corner in the arsenal and saw it just sitting on the horizon. I was focused on the bison, trying to find a good shot before the sun went down after several unsuccessful trips. I was about ready to call it because the herd was too scattered and far from the road. I decided to try to get a shot of a plane crossing in front of the moon before I left. As I waited (unsuccessfully) I saw this bison cutting across the grass from far away. I waited and waited and repositioned, and it finally got close enough to snap this shot, moments before it got too dark. #supermoon #bison
