Makenzie found out she was Métis when she was 16. Her story is fascinating, and when shared with Isaiah and Mikisiw, they had some great things to say. Stay tuned to hear their stories about being Indigenous Athletes. On National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, be sure to join Isaiah and the Redbirds Lacrosse team at The Legacy Game, Honouring the Indigenous Roots of Lacrosse. The Redbirds play Queens at 7:45 on September 30th. Makenzie and the Martlets Hockey team will also be hosting an Orange Shirt game, on October 1st at 2pm vs Waterloo. 📸 qdubbmedia gariesphoto
