Please congratulate Sydney (sydbballin)! She rang our end-of-treatment bell, while dribbling her #basketball surrounded by her family and care team! Last November, Sydney’s care team in the #Sacramento area diagnosed her with B-cell acute lymphoblastic #leukemia. After eight months of treatment, Sydney’s doctors determined she needed a bone marrow transplant, and she traveled to our hospital. Sydney had a successful bone marrow transplant in July with her older sister as the donor and spent more than a month recovering at our San Francisco hospital. Sydney is a passionate athlete who loves basketball and soccer! Her favorite teams are the Golden State Valkyries (valkyries) and the USC women’s basketball team (uscwbb). While in the hospital, Sydney would do basketball drills and shoot baskets on her mini hoop. She hopes to one day play basketball in college and in the WNBA! #all #childhoodcancermonth #childhoodcancerawareness
