Cathan is doing great almost a year after his brain surgeries — please send him your best wishes! Last year, Cathan’s mom noticed that his limbs were twitching in the middle of the night. The family came to our emergency room for testing, and our team discovered Cathan was having partial seizures. A follow-up visit with #neurologist Dr. Rachel Vassar revealed Cathan has a rare cerebrovascular disorder called #Moyamoya disease, which causes the brain vessels to narrow. In November and December, Cathan had two brain surgeries with Dr. Nalin Gupta and he's been doing great ever since. He’s talking, walking and loves spending time in the pool!
