#leukemia called
#JMML. Even though he lives 2,000 miles away in Arkansas, Daxtin was able to participate in a
#UCSF trial and receive a stem cell transplant from his sister.
“Precision medicine means looking at the DNA and the changes within patients' cancer cells and choosing the drugs that are most likely to work for the individual patients,” UCSF oncologist Dr. Elliot Stieglitz says.
Five years later, Daxtin is cured of the disease and doing great at home with is family!
