Please congratulate Thomas! He’s thriving almost eight years after receiving a #kidneytransplant, with his father as the #livingdonor! In July 2015, Thomas was born two months premature, and doctors at another hospital diagnosed him with kidney disease. He experienced a “code blue” life-threatening emergency and transferred to #UCSF, where he began hemodialysis treatment for kidney failure. At age two in July 2017, Thomas became eligible for a transplant, and his dad gave him a #kidney! Thomas is now 9 years old and doing great! He loves video games, music, dancing and singing, as well as golf and soccer. To celebrate his 10th birthday this summer, his family plans to visit Ireland! #DonateLifeMonth
