LANCERS EDGE LIONS: The jserrahockey team suffered its first defeat of the season, as the Orange Lutheran Lancers slipped past the Lions 3-2 in an ADHSHL contest on Saturday at Great Park Ice and FivePoints Arena in Irvine. Senior Cassius Millett scored a first period goal (assisted by junior Caden Fernandez) for the Lions at the 9:59 mark of the first period to tie the game at 1-1. Orange Lutheran forged a 3-1 lead early in the third period before junior Griffin Blake cut the deficit to one with a power play goal with 7:46 remaining, assisted by junior Peyton Torriero. The Lancers held the Lions off the scoreboard the rest of the way to close out the win. Junior goalie Jacob White recorded 23 saves. #lionnation #jserrahockey #jserraathletics
