2024-25 Photo Recap I’m excited to share a photo recap from my sophomore year! This collection features some of my favorite shots from the various games I covered. Before this year, I had no real experience with a camera. The closest I’d come was using a Canon PowerShot in high school, but I only ever shot in shutter priority mode—giving me little to no opportunity to learn from it. This past fall, I decided to take a photojournalism class to both expand my skills in journalism and finally learn how to use a camera properly. With guidance from Professor Bruce Thorson and plenty of hands-on experience, I discovered a passion for capturing “the moment” as it unfolds. Over the course of the year, I photographed games across six different Arizona State sports.
