Hungarian clubbers are turning up the volume in protest. In front of parliament, a huge techno dance party erupted, called ‘Dance for Freedom.’
The reason?
Police have been raiding clubs, testing partygoers for drugs, and even handcuffing them. Critics say this crackdown violates basic freedoms and doesn’t help with addiction. New rules let authorities close clubs for months if any drug use is found.
Doctors and human rights groups argue real prevention and support are missing in this approach. But police stand firm, saying it’s about fighting drugs, not targeting youth culture.
