The Silver Anniversary Award recognizes individuals on the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of their college athletics careers. This award celebrates the achievements and contributions of former student-athletes who have excelled in their professional lives and continue to exemplify the values of collegiate athletics. The 2026 recipient of the award is women’s basketball legend, Tamika Catchings. Growing up with a hearing disability and a speech impediment, Tamika faced challenges that could have held her back, but she refused to let them define her. From basketball to football to running, she often competed on boys’ teams, always striving to challenge herself and reach the highest level possible. Her determination carried her to the University of Tennessee, where she played under legendary coach Pat Summitt.
