I did not have spending time at the University of Kansas Cancer Center in my plans for this year, but here we are. I was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I’ve known for a bit but wasn’t ready to share until now. I hated putting this on blast on social media, but I figured it was the easiest way to let friends know that I don’t see often. Needless to say Vonda’s and my world has been turned upside down. I will be starting chemotherapy soon. At this point, I don’t know what my future holds, other than spending as much quality time with my family as possible. My sports photography work will be on hold for awhile, but otherwise I’m absolutely not going to stop living my life. One thing I do know is I have absolute faith the Lord will be with me through this journey.
