2025 DEKA FIT World Championship Friday, December 5th, 2025 (Day 1 of 3) 1. DEKA FIT Ruck - 39:02 - 2nd Overall 🥈 I am still yet to figure out why I like racing with the 30lb backpack on but it seems to be working alright for me. Spent the entire race chasing joe_rucco who took us out at a 4:49 pace, woof. Hung on until the ski but the gap widened beyond closure. By that point I had built up a 90 second lead on third and put the rest of the race in (uncomfortable) cruise control. Ended up finish exactly where I anticipated, second, behind Joe. I wrote in my notes days prior "I want to stand on the podium with Joe for Ruck. Whether that’s 1-2 or 2-1, I don’t care." Not to say I went in to this race not trying to win. I went for it out of the gate. The phenomenon that is Joe Rucco is one hard dude to beat. Joe, congratulations.
