I'm powerful over the substance. All due respect to sober people. Truly. Their truth is true for them, and sobriety has deeply improved their lives. I've found the opposite to be true for myself. I hear people say, "Alcohol ruined my life." This year, l've been through a lot, and done the work in therapy to process a lot of pain. I can honestly say that, "Alcohol saved my life." I could not have gotten through a lot of this year without it. I'm dialing back, and it feels good. Lots of nights of not drinking.
