Today, Her Majesty hosted a reception at Clarence House for survivingeconomicabuse, the UK’s only charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. During the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, Her Majesty met with survivors, supporters and staff to hear about their vital work supporting women affected by economic abuse. Economic abuse involves controlling someone’s ability to acquire, use and maintain economic resources, and can have a devastating impact on victims’ independence and safety.
