The winner of the 2020 Rather Prize for the best idea to improve education in Texas is Armin Salek of Akins High School in #Austin, Texas. The Rather Prize awards $10,000 to a Texas student, teacher, or administrator who presents the best idea to improve #education in the state of Texas. The initiative was developed in 2016 by Rice University student, Martin Rather and his grandfather, journalist Dan Rather. Akins HS will receive the award to expand its Legal Eagles law program and to serve as a model to other schools in Texas and nationwide.
