Buffalo Bills star Khalil Shakir is living every player's dream, but he admits the moment life actually changed is a total blur.
Sitting down exclusively with ClutchPoints’ Andrew Korpan, Shakir got real about the haze of putting pen to paper on his massive $60 million extension.
"That whole day just felt like a dream. You kind of black out in a sense," he admitted, calling the payday "surreal."
It’s a huge leap for the former fifth-round pick, and he didn't shy away from how rare this air really is.
"I started playing football when I was seven years old," Shakir reflected. "You start playing ball, and you're like, 'Man, I want to make it to the pros.' But the [odds] of making it and then signing a second contract are against you."
Yet, despite securing the bag, Shakir insists his "biggest transformation" isn't the tax bracket, it's his new life as a father that’s truly changed the game.
Huge congratulations to Khalil on the new deal and the new addition to the family! Good luck ...
