The Diamond Heels are in the game. UNC is one of 11 college baseball programs who will be added to the video game “MLB The Show 26” as part of its “Road to the Show” mode. “MLB The Show” debuted playable college programs as part of its 2025 edition, with eight college teams, including Vanderbilt, Texas and LSU. Only two of the 11 new college programs for the 2026 game have been revealed: UNC and Oregon State – who defeated Carolina in back-to-back College World Series finals in 2006 and 2007, then eliminated the Diamond Heels from Omaha again in 2018. In “Road to the Show,” users can create their own player and experience the journey from high school all the way to Major League Baseball. The journey includes a stop in college baseball and a chance to play in Omaha at the College World Series.
