An Indigenous princess rose nearly 15 feet into the air in a custom 6-foot ribbon skirt, joining Indig X Productions, United American Indian Involvement Inc., and the Boys and Girls Club of UAII at the 93rd Hollywood Christmas Parade. 🎄
To bring this vision to life, Indig X Productions worked with Melinda Hale and Annette Phoenix, who spent hours hand-stitching every panel and ribbon with intention. What they created was a response to 91 years of no Indigenous presence in this parade.
A 6-foot ribbon skirt that no one could ignore.
“It wasn’t just a skirt. It was a vision of Indigenous royalty rising above the noise, and lighting up Hollywood Boulevard,” Indig X Productions shared.
Princess Siyowin (siyowin) carried that vision with strength and grace: “We are still here. We are still rising. And when we do it together, we are unstoppable.”
