10 million Azerbaijanis. 80 million Turks. 3 million Armenians. Armenia is outnumbered and overwhelmed In the war for Artsakh, a region with a 95% majority of ethnic Armenians. Armenia did not want war and do not want war. They simply want sovereignty and peace in a place they call home. Azerbaijan and Turkey have come to this battle with violence, attempting to erase Armenians from Artsakh and even off the map entirely. They want a cleansing — a continuation of the Armenian Genocide — but this cannot and will not happen. To my Armenian brothers and sisters of The Diaspora, let’s please have patience and compassion for those who are just learning of these atrocities happening today.
