Meet Abby Forget, a double major in sports media & communication and public relations from Newark, Delaware, and the Fall 2025 undergraduate student commencement speaker. Abby came to URI first wanting to pursue nutrition as a possible career, but a first-year communications course sparked a new direction combining her love for sports with public service and leadership roles across campus. Here at URI, she served as Membership Director for RhodyTHON, helping raise awareness and support for HasbroChildrens Hospital, and was a board member of URIPhiSig, where her impact earned her the Greek Life Leader of the Year Award. Abby also helped launch the URIWomenInSports Club, creating a platform for connection, learning, and belonging for students. Now working with BrownU_Bears, Abby is planning to attend graduate school to further her education.
