Seoul, the city of young millionaires ๐ธ
This year, nearly half of all buyers who bought apartments in Seoul priced over โฉ10 billion (about $6.8 M USD ๐ต) were born in the 1980s or 1990s. These โsuper-richโ young buyers reportedly paid entirely in cash, without taking out loans.
According to Financial News, the prices ranged roughly from โฉ10 billion (~$6.8 M USD) up to โฉ25 billion (~$17 M USD), and the properties were spread across both Seoulโs traditional luxury neighborhoods and its hot new areas โ like Apgujeong, Cheongdam, Samseong, Hannam, Banpo, and Seongsu.
Among the 32 buyers, ages ranged from those born in 1999 to 1955 โ but 9 were born in the 80s and 6 in the 90s, making up more than half of the list.

Most of these young ultra-wealthy buyers turned out to be startup founders or celebrities โ and BTSโs Jin (jin) and V (thv) were even named among them.
Itโs a report that shows a generational shift in Seoulโs high-end real estate market.
