I partnered with Hackensack Meridian Health to help start the conversation around women’s reproductive health in the South Asian community. Breast cancer and mammograms are not talked about enough in our community, due to cultural norms and shame around women’s health, but it’s time for our generation to make a change. I want to keep my aunt’s memory alive by encouraging you to get your mammogram this year. If you’re not yet qualified for a mammogram, share this video with your mom, aunts, grandmas and any women in your life who may meet the screening guidelines – like being 40+ or having a family history of breast cancer.
