Raging flames leaped from an apartment building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side Tuesday, raining debris onto the sidewalk and spewing smoke across the cityscape. The fire broke out at a six-story building on 107th Street and Amsterdam around 8:20 a.m., according to the FDNY, and escalated to a fourth alarm shortly after 9 a.m. The building is thought to house about 40 units. #nyc #upperwestside #fire
