Hateful and divisive rhetoric has no place in our society. MAS stands in solidarity with our Somali American brothers and sisters who are being targeted by hateful and divisive rhetoric because some bigots think there are too many of them in Minnesota. Many Somalis in the state are afraid to leave their homes and are carrying their US passports in public because of fear of unlawful arrest and harassment. We stand in solidarity with the Somali community, affirming their dignity, safety, and invaluable contributions to our shared home.
