The Lancers fell to Notre Dame de Sion in their first game of the season after being ahead 27-25 during the second quarter on Dec. 5. To start the game, the Lancers kept even with a score of 11-11 within the first quarter. By halftime, the Lancers were leading 27-25 due to a buzzer-beater layup by sophomore Darcy Kroenig. Throughout the game, the SM East varsity cheer team performed multiple cheers to pump up the student section, including the “Go, Go, Go” chant.
