Hello, beautiful canals in the old town. 😍 It’s kid-friendly too! We enjoy taking a day trip from Chamonix, and it’s only 35 kilometers from Geneva, Switzerland! ☺️ It can get very crowded in July, so arrive early because the best paddle boats and parking spots fill up quickly. We love summertime! Being on the lake with the kids is so much fun. Fall is less crowded and just as beautiful. It’s easy to walk around, featuring a stunning lake surrounded by mountains, and the city has an old-town feel. ⛰️ Here’s our day trip itinerary: - Leave Chamonix by 8am - Arrive by 9:30 to find parking and head to the lake for a boat rental (the ones with slides go first!) - Bring drinks and snacks. - Spend a couple of hours on the water at most.
