What it looks like when citizens take control… At our latest Citizen Solutions session, something meaningful unfolded: people who rarely find themselves in the same room sat down, listened, and started building ideas on how to tackle healthcare together. A 19-year-old liberal and a 71-year-old East Texas conservative. Texans from rural towns to big cities. Many walked in unsure that real dialogue was even possible with the “other side.” But once they began sharing their own healthcare stories, the barriers eased. They didn’t agree on everything—but they did discover a shared desire to turn frustration into action. As our Executive Director put it, most Americans are tired of chaos and division. They want leaders focused on solutions, not on turning neighbors into enemies.
