Temple Station deputies assigned to the Duarte Special Assignment Team (SAO) were conducting welfare checks in the Duarte riverbed when they encountered more than they expected. During their outreach, deputies located a suspect in possession of a large amount of a controlled substance, along with a scale, baggies, and a significant amount of cash. After a thorough on-scene investigation, deputies arrested the individual for multiple felony narcotics violations. The suspect was transported to Temple Station, where the judicial process will continue as he answers for his crimes.
