“We all know that what we do is totally pointless,” says Swiss watchmaker Max Büsser, founder of MB&F. “A mechanical watch is totally pointless today.” Büsser says mechanical watches became technologically obsolete with the invention of more accurate digital watches, which are powered by quartz crystals and a battery.
