Holiday Desserts pt 5: COQUITO🥥 boozy Puerto Rican coconut rum
What I love about Coquito is that you don’t need to measure anything — you throw everything in a blender, and it’s done!
✨ingredients:
-1 cup water
-anise
-cinnamon sticks
-grated nutmeg
-allspice
-1 can evaporated milk
-1 can condensed milk
-1 can cream of coconut (not coconut cream!)
-1-2 cups of white rum
In a small saucepan, add water and spices to make the “tea.” Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and fully cool down. To a blender, pour in the tea (strained), followed by the three cans of milk. Using the can of coconut milk, measure the rum (you can add more or less than that; it’s up to you!) and pour it in. Blend at low speed for a minute until everything is incorporated :) Keep refrigerated and serve over ice. Enjoy!! 🫶🏼✨
