Wally was the heartbeat of the Syracuse Crunch for over a decade. On and off the ice, he embodies everything this city represents – tough-nosed, hardworking and blue collar. He was a five-time recipient of the team’s AHL Man of the Year honor and was named winner of the AHL's Yanick Dupré Memorial Award in 2023-24 for his outstanding contributions to the Syracuse community. From entertaining videos to countless meet-and-greets, everyone in Syracuse knows Wally and he is one of the most beloved players in team history.
