Human remains dragged to a Center Point home by a dog four different times in one year have now been identified as a 25-year-old man missing since 2024. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified the victim as Curtis Taylor Jr., a visually impaired man who vanished nearly two years ago. Taylor was last seen Feb. 6, 2024 when he told his mother that he was going to spend some time with his father. When she hadn’t heard from him in two weeks, she reached out and learned he had not gone to his father’s home. Chicarin, a German Shepherd mix, was found by his owner playing with a skull in Aug. 2024. Police were called and searched the area around the residence but found no other human remains at the time. Chicarin then found a tibia in December 2024 and a femur in April 2025. A search of the yard after the femur find turned up a jawbone.
