Auburn officially hired its newest head coach on Sunday, signing former USF head coach Alex Golesh to an incentive-laden six-year deal. His salary will start at $6.75 million, but his deal features a $250,000 escalator after each year. By comparison, former Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze had a base salary of $6.5 million per year.
